Catherine Sloss Jones

 

Under Jones’s leadership, her company, a real-estate development and management firm founded by her grandfather in 1920, has focused on urban development and revitalization and community renewal in the Magic City. Her projects include the renovation of an old Dr. Pepper plant as the Pepper Place mixed-used development. She serves on numerous boards, including those of the Lakeshore Foundation, Leadership Birmingham, and the Auburn University Center for Architecture and Urban Studies. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute. In 2007 and 2008, Jones pursued graduate studies at Harvard University, first as a Loeb Fellow and then as a visiting scholar at the Graduate School of Design.
