Fitzpatrick is the founder and CEO of Vulcan Value Partners. Vulcan Value Partners is a registered investment adviser that started operations in Birmingham in early 2007 to manage Fitzpatrick’s personal capital. In 2010, Vulcan Value Partners opened its doors to outside clients. The firm had a three-year track record and approximately $20 million assets under management. As of today, the firm is closed to new clients and the firm manages approximately $12 billion. Fitzpatrick established the Fitzpatrick Endowed Professorship, founded an advisory board to interact with students, and played a key role in the Culverhouse Investment Management Group. He and his wife, Kelley, and their two sons, Tranum and Lewis, attend St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.

Underwood is president of Lakeshore Foundation, a position he has held since 1991. Lakeshore Foundation is one of the country’s largest providers of fitness, sport, and recreation programs for people with physical disability. Today, the Lakeshore Foundation serves over 10,000 people with disability annually through its three core lines of business: physical activity, research, and advocacy. Lakeshore is an official USOC training site for Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Underwood was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He and his wife, Melinda, have two daughters, Anna and Maria. They attend Trinity United Methodist Church in Homewood.

Banking veteran Holley, along with other investors, started SouthCity Bank—now First Partners Bank—in Vestavia in 2007, in the early days of the Great Recession. In the early days, it was a team effort, as the employees took turns cleaning offices and restrooms, but First Partners has since won industry awards, including high marks for safety and profitability, and has become known for its support of small business. Holley began his banking career in Selma more than 40 years ago and moved to Birmingham in 2005.
